Application fields of toggle switches
1. High-current sealed type. This switch has a limited current capacity, with a maximum current of only 5A, and uses sealing technology with epoxy resin, as indicated by its name. It comes in various forms, and generally, the function varies depending on the contact material. Commonly, silver-plated and gold-plated contacts are used, mainly in electrical appliances and machinery.
2. Surface-mount type. This toggle switch is mounted on the surface, usually operated from the side, and uses surface-mount pins. This type is commonly seen in communications and digital audio-visual equipment.
3. Through-hole type. The name is determined by its contact form, and its pins are through-hole. Its most distinctive feature is the availability of 2-position, 3-position, and 4-position options, and it comes with a bracket for support, fixing, and electrical connection. It is widely used in building automation and electronic products.
